With a name borrowed from Leslie Gore’s 1963 hit “It’s my Party”, and service offerings as unique as its name, sisters Rochelle and Allison have opened a store to make lives easier for those who love to hold parties and entertain. According to co-owner Allison, the name stuck with them after listening to the song countlessly on road trips when they were younger. And it seems rather fitting considering that their lifestyle concept store revolves around playing host and throwing parties for tasteful guests. Cry If I Want To stepped foot in the retail industry in July of 2007, sharing a rented retail space inside Liloo at Home. After experiencing success in their venture, they opened up their own store at their present location in Leslieville.
The sisters themselves had a keen interest in designed and delightful items inside the home. As well, they loved to hold parties and to entertain guests, so it was not by chance that they stumbled onto this path. Their business consists of three streams – retail, rental and service. Their retail store offers stylish and sophisticated home décor items sourced from all over Canada, the U.S. as well as overseas. Cry If I Want to also offer party rentals of items with a modern and contemporary flair. Lastly, if that weren’t enough, they offer décor and styling services if you need help organizing that next party or celebration.
