For anyone who’s ever visited Rolo, I’m sure you could agree on the fact that it is one of the most entertaining shopping experiences in the city of Toronto. Situated in the heart of Yorkville, Rolo is a well known fixture of the neighbourhood. The always energetic and animated owner Rowley Ocampo worked at Hazelton Lanes’ General Store for 16 years before opening Rolo; a petite store space, in 2004. But don’t let the store’s small size fool you. Rowley fills the store with an endless assortment of designer items and is knowledgeable about every conspicuous detail for each product.
Sourced from around the world, the products Rolo sells cannot be summed up in a word or even a sentence. The common thread amongst these items is that they’re unusual, amusing and hard to find products that would put a smile on any fun-loving person’s face. Rolo is a tightly packed treasure trove of random items – most of which would ‘WOW’ you. One of Rolo’s goals, as Rowley mentioned, is to break the traditional impression that Yorkville has of being a financial hub by bringing in stylish products to the area.
For those of you who are not in Toronto, but would like to check out what Rolo has to offer, not to worry, they have got you covered. Visit their online store, which ships to Canada and the United States.
